The Hook is happy to host a very special birthday party for the twin cities’ dapper madman Johnny Sincerely, featuring performances by the troubadour’s Traveling Blues Orchestra, as well as some of his favorite locals, including; one-man band phenom Alexander Craig and Gabe Barnet & Them Rounders!
“An all-star Twin Cities band, featuring Dan Israel as Bob Dylan, David J. Russ as Levon Helm, Jon Herchert as Robbie Robertson, Chad Whittaker as Rick Danko, Peter J. Sands as Garth Hudson, and Buzz Chopper as Richard Manuel (known for their popular annual “Last Waltz” salutes) pay tribute to Bob Dylan and the Band with “Stage Fright,” diving deep into Dylan and the Band’s studio material and live performance repertoire.”
A night of underground rock music blending electronic, industrial & alternative goth punk sounds with stand up comedy, sideshow antics and visual candy by a united front of performers in a non-stop carnival themed evening featuring Apocalypse Theatre, Mayda & Athereal Rose in the musical spotlight & presented by Nanotako Studios.
The Slap Frost Tour, in its 7th year, migrates not only to a Spring showing but glides through the crispy MidWest air after taking time off but never rhyming soft. The New Year brings another line up of Underground Heavyweights and Familiar Faces with the Bay Area's Own Foreign Legion & Vocab Slick. Louisville's RMLLW2LLZ, and newcomers, Justin's Case and Moon Magic. Hosted by Founder/Art Director, Z-Man, this will cement the expansion of this unapologetically, DIY hip hop outing.

Re-inventing the Bond themes for belly dance? We have a License to Thrill. Our dancers will perform solos and duets with local musicians Phil Belknap, David Burk, John Croarkin, Rebecca Dudley, Laura Harada, Tim O’Keefe, and vocalist Laurie Etchen to re-imagine James Bond theme music! Adding new instruments, rhythms, and dancers to some Bond favorites like “Live & let Die”, “Goldfinger”, and “Skyfall”, to name a few.
The Hook welcomes Dustin Arbuckle (Kansas) & Matt Woods (Iowa) to the Twin Cities for an evening of acoustic blues. Local favorites Jeff Ray and Hurricane Harold open.
Dustin Arbuckle and Matt Woods were nominated for a 2021 Blues Music Award ~ Best Acoustic Blues Album for their debut, self-titled release! Both have each been hard at work on the blues and roots music scene for nearly two decades.
Regional favorites Rich Mattson & The Northstars return to the Hook for another night of rockin’ fun. Special guests Leslie Rich & The Rocket Soul Choir open.
Will Griffith, known musically as The Great Dying , is a Mississippi Delta born, country singer-songwriter residing in Oxford, MS. Will’s first release as The Great Dying, Bloody Noses & Roses(2018) was released courtesy of Dial Back Sound, a production company and label located in Water Valley, MS.
