Donations will be accepted!\n \nDavid Huckfelt & The Unarmed Forces\nDavid Huckfelt & The Unarmed Forces: featuring a rotating cast of Minnesota musical luminaries including Jeremy Ylvisaker\, Liz Draper\, and occasional special guest appearances from the likes of Erik Koskinen\, J.T. Bates & more\, Huckfelt’s full band shows are not to be missed.  The Unarmed Forces have appeared at First Avenue & festival stages around the country\, as well as both “Water Is Life” festivals in Duluth with Bon Iver\, Ani Difranco\, Low\, The Indigo Girls and more.  With singular ferocity they deliver the full sound and message of Huckfelt’s two records “Stranger Angels” and “Room Enough\, Time Enough”\, as well as a cache of brand new material building toward a third record\, coming soon.\n \nJoe Rainey Sr.\nJoe Rainey is a Pow Wow singer. His debut album Niineta showcases his command of the style – faithful to tradition – accompanied by cinematic\, bass-heavy production from Andrew Broder. Depending on the song\, his voice can celebrate or console\, welcome or intimidate. No matter the inflection\, each note conveys a clear message: We’re still here. We were here before you were\, and we never left. \n \nKeith Secola Band\nKeith Secola is an icon and ambassador of Native music. He is one of the most influential artists in the field today. Rising from the grassroots of North America\, he is a songwriter of the people. Critics have dubbed him as the Native versions of both Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen. NDN Kars (Indian cars)\, his most popular song is considered the contemporary Native American anthem\, achieving legendary status and earning him a well deserved cult following. It has been the number one requested song on tribal radio since the 1992. In 2011\, he joined the ranks of Jimmy Hendrix\, Hank Williams\, Crystal Gale\, and Richie Valens\, and was inducted into the Native Music Hall of Fame. \n\nAnnie Humphrey\nGrowing up on the Leech Lake Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota\, Annie lived in a home filled with voices made of thunder and nothing could stop it.  Her parents were brilliant people individually.  Her father\, a singer and musician and her mother an artist and poet.  Together they made sadness.  Each of her parents taught Annie the beautiful things they knew.  They showed her that she carried their gifts in her hands too.  This is how creating art and music came about for her.  This is  what saved her.  This is how she lives now. \n\n \nWhat is First Nations Kitchen?\nUniquely\, First Nations Kitchen is a ministry led by indigenous people for indigenous people.  FNK’s Ministry Team leads all aspects of the program on a volunteer-basis without compensation\, though there are specific and agreed-upon roles and responsibilities for team members such as Program/Kitchen Director\, Volunteer Coordinator and Fundraiser. In addition FNK enjoys volunteer support from 13 area Episcopal congregations\, the Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) of William Mitchell\, and multiple churches of various denominations.  The engagement of the partner congregations has evolved as a model for the Episcopal Church in Minnesota which in recent years has collectively discerned a call to engage opportunities for mission in regional settings\, combining efforts\, gifts\, and resources across congregational lines. \n\nFirst Nations Kitchen is primarily a justice-focused\, Gospel-based ministry.  Its primary intent is to provide food to indigenous people who would not otherwise have access to high-quality\, fresh organic food in an environment of radical hospitality and cultural empowerment. While FNK makes full use of its relationship with the Twin Cities Coop Partners (free organic vegetables\, fruits\, and dairy) we desire to deepen its ministry by engaging its guests and volunteers in the production of its own food. It is hoped that the garden will serve as a neighborhood gathering place\, a chance to build deeper relationships with guests and volunteers\, provide an opportunity for traditional harvest ceremonies\, and bring indigenous people together to learn ancestral methods of growing their own food. \n\nThe FNK Ministry Team also wants to deepen and widen its program by investing in its relationships with guests and volunteers.  The kitchen provides a unique opportunity to come together around common interests (mission\, Gospel faithfulness\, addressing real human need) across cultural differences that in other circumstances divide rather than unite.   The team sees transformative potential in deepening their relationship with their parish partners and guests – providing opportunities to know one another better\, regularly engage the practice of Gospel-Based Discipleship\, and together confront and move beyond racism.  There are countless opportunities to more deeply involve parish partners and guests beyond tasks associated with making a meal\, such as building relationships with new volunteers\, fundraising\, tilling soil\, tending the compost pile\, distributing food city-wide.  We want to move from simple task-allocation to a deep\, real invitation to work together – ministry team\, parish partners\, guests — in all aspects of our mission work.  We see the potential result of this harder relationship-building work and the bringing together of a more diverse collection of gifts and talents as nothing less than transformational to us all.

The trio is joined by a supporting cast replete with vocalists and instrumentalists – and as always – a dazzling lineup of special surprise guests. You won’t soon forget this show that has become a beloved annual tradition in the Twin Cities and beyond.  \n\nThe New Standards are three friends\, musicians\, and raconteurs who have been performing together since 2005 in clubs and theaters everywhere\, from Shanghai to New York City. Those musicians almost always were drunk and quite often tried to play with us our rock songs. It was a nightmare\, and I hated them all!” But that all changed when Vorobyev heard Chicago. He became an instant fan. “I loved so much the brilliant mixture of rock guitars\, drums\, and jazz horns with bright vocal harmonies\,” he said. \nIn 2014\, Vorobyev decided to indulge his love for the band by gathering a few fellow musicians in a studio to record a video of them playing his favorite Chicago tune\, Brand New Love Affair. \n\n\nNo charts or scores of the song existed so Vorobyev transcribed the tune by ear. The result was a YouTube video that quickly went viral. Since then Leonid & Friends has recorded videos of other Chicago hits including Make Me Smile\, 25 or 6 to 4\, and Saturday In The Park. All total the videos have received more than 50 million views. Also\, Leonid & Friends has recorded two albums showcasing its tribute to Chicago. \nThe process of getting each tune just right is a painstaking labor of love. In addition to scoring and arranging\, Vorobyev oversees mixing and mastering of each song. However\, he credits his highly skilled bandmates for making each tune sing. “All of my musician friends are highly professional\,” he said. \nHowever\, Leonid & Friends hasn’t been satisfied with merely connecting with fans through videos and recordings. In early 2019\, the band embarked on its first tour outside of Russia that had fans dancing in the aisles at sold-out shows in New York\, Los Angeles\, Chicago\, and Florida. Two other scorching coast-to-coast U.S. tours followed that same year. \n“The fans were so eager to see us that some traveled from as far as Hawaii and the Philippines not mentioning flying across the U.S .and driving for hours to attend our shows\,” Vorobyev said. “I was expecting a warm greeting but I didn’t expect such a warm reception and with so much love and gratitude for us.” \nIn Los Angeles\, the band met its musical heroes\, founding members of Chicago\, keyboardist Robert Lamm\, and drummer Danny Seraphine as well as Michelle Kath Sinclair\, daughter of late\, great Chicago guitarist Terry Kath. “We were so thrilled that Robert\, Danny\, and Michelle took the time to visit with us\,” Vorobyev said. “It was an experience that we will cherish and remember forever.” \nWhen Leonid & Friends isn’t touring\, band members are in the studio in Moscow immersing themselves in Chicago’s storied catalog of hits and deep tracks while preparing for the next tour. \nIn September of 2018\, the band recorded its first song from legendary supergroup Earth\, Wind\, & Fire and also paid tribute to the band Blood\, Sweat & Tears as well. \nBorrowing a line from one of Chicago’s biggest hits\, “it’s only the beginning” of great things from Leonid & Friends.

With fresh wounds and a vast new space to fill in their lives\, the veterans plunged into the spiritually\, physically and emotionally healing pursuit of music\, practicing relentlessly and forming a lasting brotherhood in the process. \nBefore long\, they caught the ear of rock legend and activist Roger Waters (Pink Floyd)\, whose visit to the hospital immediately inspired an invitation to perform alongside him at Madison Square Garden during “Stand Up For Heroes\,” a benefit concert for injured veterans. It was during these rehearsals that they first jammed with recently discharged drummer Juan “Dom” Dominguez- a decorated Marine and triple amputee whom Roger had also brought on board – and in sharing the experience they realized that forming their own group was inevitable. Completing the lineup is Nate’s brother Erik on bass\, and with several of its members literally given a second chance at life the band forged a clear and compelling mission – to present fearlessness through songwriting and honest musicianship. \nSince then The Resilient have independently released original tracks and performed in concerts all over the U.S.\, gaining traction as a unique\, unforgettable act by stunning audiences at conventions\, galas\, dive bars\, universities\, and music festivals. They were featured by D’Angelico Guitars at the 2020 NAMM convention and headlined the 2021 Sag Harbor Music Fest\, where they had the honor of being proudly introduced by their mentor Roger himself. During the COVID lockdowns\, they adapted to the new normal by finding fresh opportunities working on veteran-supporting campaigns. Members of the band have performed with musical greats Yo-Yo Ma\,  Sheryl Crow\, Aaron Neville\, G.E. Smith\, Ricky Scaggs\, the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra\, Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins)\, Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine)\, and appeared on television shows “N.C.I.S.”\, “The Colbert Report”\, and “Lucky Dog”. Currently they are in pre-production for their first full length album and are the subjects of a feature length documentary currently in the works with award-winning filmmakers North Productions. \nThe Resilient’s rare combination of artistic freedom and military discipline amplifies their message of hope and perseverance. True to their name\, they exist in utter defiance of limitations associated with their unique physical circumstances and have overcome the unthinkable. Now they’re living like there’s no tomorrow.

The Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins are not a violent group of flightless aquatic birds looking for a party – rather they’re 5 self-proclaimed gentlemen with 2 guitars\, a mandolin\, a bucket of fiddles\, an upright bass\, a banjo\, and 4-part vocal harmony\, combining folk\, rock\, blues\, bluegrass\, and some fully-loaded stage banter. Their combination of folk\, rock\, blues\, bluegrass\, and stage banter creates an experience that everyone can enjoy! \n\n\nWith a nostalgic appreciation for old time tunes\, Katey Bellville inevitably pines for traditional sounds while composing contemporary songs.  Raised both in the rolling hills of the country on horseback and deep in the heart of the city of Minneapolis – she has always stirred a brew of reverse passions.  Dedicated listeners describe her original songs as “unforgettable”\, blending modern pop sensibilities with fundamental bluegrass instrumentation.\n\nPotluck String Band are an organically grown band of festivarians that play in bluegrass festival campgrounds and numerous venues and events in the Midwest and Colorado.  Jimbo Miller\, a member of the band\, explains the name\, saying\, “we started a ‘Friday Potluck’ at my house where people would bring a dish to share\, a bottle or six-pack to share\, and an instrument to play. There was no intention of forming a band\, but once it came to be\, it felt right to pay homage to the band’s origins.”
