Following full-bodied rock forebears Tom Petty\, George Harrison\, and Roy Orbison\, Erelli’s songwriting explores the unknown glories of this planet and love’s transformational power.  \n\nOver his two decade-long career\, the singer-songwriter-sideman-producer-writer has proven himself equally at home in a multitude of roles: producing albums for artists like GRAMMY-winner Lori McKenna; serving as a sideman guitarist for artists like Paula Cole\, Marc Cohn\, and Josh Ritter; writing and producing his own material\, like 2018’s “By Degrees\,” for which he was nominated for Song of the Year at the Americana Honors and Awards; and most recently\, becoming an advocate for low-vision artists and working with venues to make their spaces more accessible. Written in the wake of his diagnosis with a degenerative retinal disease\, Erelli’s upcoming 2023 album Lay Your Darkness Downis the next step on his journey\, following up on 2020’s Blindsided\, which garnered praise from Rolling Stone Country\,the Associated Press\, NPR\, The Boston Globe\, and more.\n \n  \n\nJeff Ray is an avant-garde resonator slide-guitarist and songwriter based in St Paul\, MN. His music is rooted in the traditions of acoustic blues and American fingerstyle guitar\, but Ray quickly departs from tradition: his songs integrate flavors of Indian classical music and West-African guitar under the guise of cryptic alternate guitar tunings.

The safe and intimate room with great sound gives the audience an opportunity to immerse into the stories and craft of the song. \n\nWhen the world’s on fire and the seeds of division are sown throughout the land\, music and ceremony have always  held a sacred space for healing and renewal.  Room Enough\, Time Enough\, only the second full-length solo record from singer-lyricist & folk activist David Huckfelt of The Pines\, is a record about restoring balance: space and attention\, peace and equality\, redeeming the marginalized\, and remembering the forgotten.  It’s a new expression of the ancient ritual and power of songs to weave a web of resilience and protection over our land\, our loves\, and our resistance\, from a songwriter whose new solo endeavor is a present-moment plea for connection and compassion.\nPlease Note: In an effort to create the listening room environment\, we ask all guests in the main room to limit conversation during the performance.

Since his solo debut in 1994\, he’s made 16 albums—the last seven for Alligator—each its own unique chapter in the book of Tommy Castro. Ranging from horn-fueled R&B to piping hot blues to fiery\, stripped-down rock ‘n’ roll\, each release is solidly built upon Castro’s unshakable musical foundation—a dynamic mix of 1960s-influenced guitar-fueled blues\, testifying Memphis-soaked blue-eyed soul and Latin-tinged East San Jose funk\, all driven by Castro’s grab-you-by-the-collar vocals and passionate guitar work. Blues Revue declared\, “Tommy Castro can do no wrong.”\n \n“Sizzling\, slow-burning\, gritty blues and rock…shimmering\, swampy\, downright funky vibes drenched with Castro’s stinging\, pure and crisp lead runs and fluid\, jet-fueled solos.” –Living Blues\n \nStevens began playing guitar at age 11 and moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale\, to pursue a career in the music business. Stevens worked as a school teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District for ten years before signing a recording contract with the independent label\, Eureka Records. He released his debut album in 1995\, garnering comparisons to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton\, and scored a rock radio hit with the single\, “Blue Drops of Rain.” “One More Time” from his 1997 follow up\, Road To Zen\, was his highest charting single. It reached the top ten in Radio & Records and number 22 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.\n\n\n \n\n \n\n

Their existence dates all the way back to World War II\, circa 1942-1943\, when a Knoxville\, Tennessee group began performing gospel songs in nearby Oak Ridge\, the home of an atomic bomb research facility. Their sound is one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry. The four-part harmonies and upbeat tempo of The Oak Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of Country hits and a number one pop smash\, earning them Grammy\, Dove\, CMA\, and ACM awards and garnered a host of other industry and fan accolades. Every time they step before an audience\, the Oaks bring four decades of charted singles\, and 50 years of tradition\, to a stage show widely acknowledged as among the most exciting anywhere. And each remains as enthusiastic about the process as they have ever been.\n \nTheir string of hits includes the Country-Pop chart-topper “Elvira\,” as well as “Bobbie Sue\,” “Dream On\,” “Thank God For Kids\,” “American Made\,” “I Guess It Never Hurts To Hurt Sometimes\,” “Fancy Free\,” “Gonna Take A Lot Of River\,” and many others. In 2009\, they covered a White Stripes song\, receiving praises from Rock reviewers. In 2011\, they rerecorded a thirtieth anniversary version of Elvira for a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store project.  The group has scored 12 gold\, three platinum\, and one double platinum album—plus one double platinum single—and had more than a dozen national Number One singles and over 30 Top Ten hits.

And when he blends his with that of keyboardist Emily Fredock\, the group exhibits a radiance that distinguishes them from fellow black-lipstick aficionados.” – Pitchfork \nThen Comes Silence are the Swedish captains of postpunk. The quartet from Stockholm is a fresh breeze of gothic renaissance\, kicking darkness around with hammering rhythms and melodies that make hearts melt and blood freeze. The fascination for doom and darkness pervade and influence every tune and word. The music of Then Comes Silence takes the listener on a journey from swinging postpunk to the shadows of goth-gaze and into scraps of coal hearted psych. The sharp soundscape is intense\, massive and pounding. The lyrics flirt with death and sorrow. It’s goth\, psychedelica\, rock and post-punk in a symbiosis. \nStranger Gallery is Minneapolis post-punk w/Cody Bourdot -vox\, Jeff Cornell -gtr\, Manny Castro -bass & Rocky Rosga -synth \nDJ Gwiingwans (they/them) is a queer Darksider from the Rez living in the Little Apple who likes all things spooky and #alterNATIVE. \n\n\n

Once thought of as a niche novelty Marxist outfit\, the band has grown so much and is now swinging for the fences with its fifth and most ambitious album\, The Honor and Glory of The Gated Community (official release in 2023). Based in the Twin Cities and formed in 2006 in Minneapolis’s storied West Bank neighborhood\, The Gated Community is known for beautiful harmonies\, multiple lead singers\, virtuosic soloists\, and gripping songs. They are incredibly proud to bring this album into the world after the collective traumas of the past three years—including the pandemic\, George Floyd’s murder and the subsequent Uprising\, and the rise of fascism in America. Join The Gated Community for an evening of powerful music that will stir your spirits. \n\nMother Banjo Featuring Ellen Stanley on banjo and vocals\, Mother Banjo is a New England-raised\, Minneapolis-based songwriter. Called “an outstanding poet” (Inside Bluegrass)\, she was a Midwest Finalist for the prestigious Mountain Stage NewSong Contest and has been featured nationally on SiriusXM Radio and CMT.com. She has showcased at South By Southwest (SXSW) and the Folk Alliance International Conference and has been touring behind her latest album The Devil Hasn’t Won\, sharing bills with such notables as Lucy Wainwright Roche\, Grammy winning bluegrass legend Jim Lauderdale and The Gear Daddies’ Martin Zellar. Now she is getting ready to release her first original album in over five years. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n

The safe and intimate room with great sound gives the audience an opportunity to immerse into the stories and craft of the song.\n \nTurn Turn Turn is a trio who bonded over their mutual love of close harmony 60s and 70s country\, folk\, and pop music and formed an original Americana band. To create their distinctive sound\, the band “turns” to the distant past of early American recorded music\, “turns” again to that renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s\, and finally “turns” again to the present looking forward. \n\nMembers Adam Levy (guitar\, vocals)\, Savannah Smith (guitar\, vocals) and Barb Brynstad (bass\, vocals) are all mainstays of the Minnesota music scene and together craft an infectious\, pop-infused Americana.\nPlease Note: In an effort to create the listening room environment\, we ask all guests in the main room to limit conversation during the performance.
