You’ll see music from local artists like Laura Hugo\, James Harvin\, and Dylan Daniels\, experience the prophetic messages that Pine Ridge\, SD based artist Bazille shares through his hip-hop stylings\, and this year we are lucky to have Black Belt Eagle Scout as our headliner. Proceeds from this event will go to Rock The Rez\, a 5-day music camp for Indigenous girls\, Two-Spirit\, and LGBTQ+ youth in Minnesota and South Dakota. In 2025 Rock The Rez will host camps in Lower Sioux\, the Twin Cities\, Leech Lake\, MN and Pine Ridge and Rosebud\, SD. For five days youth will learn to play an instrument\, participate in cultural and artistic teachings\, and create community. Please come out for a great cause and to hear some incredible music!

An educational institution\, LMHE will use exhibits\, live music\, storytelling with music and interactives to empower and inspire. LMHE will incorporate training programs for musicians\, as well as stage\, light and sound managers and others. A masterful Grammy Award-winning violinist\, singer/songwriter\, actor\, and composer\, Lisa has an uncanny way of taking those audiences with her wherever she goes.\n—\nRecognized for her work as violinist and vocalist for the ground breaking Jewish Roots band The Klezmatics and as fiddler for the “Downtown” Celtic band Whirligig\, Lisa is also known for her scoring\, performance\, and music direction in the two time Tony award-winning play\, Indecent. She had an on-screen cameo and compositions featured in Sex and the City; has performed in Sting’s Broadway musical The Last Ship; and her song Gonna Get Through This World – with words by Woody Guthrie – was hailed by Pete Seeger as “a piece of genius”. A supergroup made of celebrated Twin Cities musicians\, including Pat O’Keefe\, Sarah Larsson\, Josh Rosard\, Daniel Lentz\, and Anthony Afful; Di Bayke has collectively studied with master-artists from klezmer tradition\, including Lisa Gutkin of The Klezmatics\, Ethel Raim of The Pennywhistlers\, and Michael Alpert of Brave Old World. Di Bayke’s adventurous takes on beloved Klezmer and Yiddish sounds encourage audiences to get on their feet and explore family stories of journey\, roots\, and home. Their music reflects a shared passion for classic rock and pop\, psychedelia\, post punk and rockabilly. Debut LP Hearing Horns arrives in April 2025 and features ten original songs that range from punky power-pop to folky jangle and achingly pretty melancholy. \nGuitarist Johnny Wilson (Go Buttons\, Evil Sulu) is a native North Carolinian and has fronted bands in NC\, St. Louis and Minneapolis. Drummer Chris Hansen (Pioneer Son\, Clockwork) is a native Minnesotan and gigged for years around the state before forming the band Hearing Horns in 2013 with Johnny and bassist John Hile. In late 2023\, Montana transplant and veteran bassist Rob McClain (Tim Montana & the Shrednecks\, Jeremy Scared)\, met Chris by happenstance at Chris’ optical shop. Barking at Ghosts was born. \nAll three members share a background in the fine and applied arts. Johnny works by day as a freelance graphic designer after a long career designing for Best Buy Corporate. After a career in graphic design\, Chris now runs Owl Optical in Minneapolis with his wife Julie. Rob is currently working towards his BFA degree at the University of Minnesota. Before that he worked in film and theater and owned his own company for over twenty years. \nThe Long HoneymoonMinneapolis-based pop-rock band The Long Honeymoon has been filling venues and exciting fans with their high-energy shows\, featuring original songs with rich vocal harmonies\, catchy pop grooves\, and clever arrangements. Its members\, all 20+ year veterans of the Twin Cities music scene\, combine a deep love of classic pop-rock with a modern sound and joyous spirit that’s attracting music lovers of all ages.  \nHaving shared bills while playing in separate bands in the early 2000s\, founding members Lee Zukor (Lee Rude\, Charlie Bucket) and Adam Marshall (The Humbugs\, The Bazillions) reconnected in 2022\, finding instant chemistry through a shared love of artists including Elvis Costello\, The Beautiful South\, Stevie Wonder\, and Teenage Fanclub. Excited by the songs they were writing\, Lee and Adam enlisted Adam’s wife Kristin Marshall (also of The Humbugs and The Bazillions) to help flesh them out. Right away\, the three knew they had something special – they just needed to find the right band. And did they ever! \nBassist Volney Hendrix (Lee Rude\, Charlie Bucket) brings unique and catchy melodies to the band’s rhythm section\, while drummer Dennis Olson (RadioSpares) anchors the band with tight grooves and smart pop sensibilities. Volney and Dennis’ combined experience includes extensive gigging with jazz bands\, cover bands\, hard rock bands\, and pop bands\, and the music The Long Honeymoon plays draws on all of these influences.  \nLead guitarist Mike Senkovich (Atomic Flea\, The Humbugs\, The Bazillions) and keyboard/vocalist Eric Kreidler (Atomic Flea\, Fever Pitch) have been playing catchy\, original pop songs together since the mid 90s. In addition to their “day jobs” in the band\, both are expert singers\, songwriters\, and arrangers\, drawing on a love of power-pop\, soul\, jazz\, and funk that gives The Long Honeymoon a rare sophistication.  \nWith a supergroup vibe and two years of playing shows to full houses under their belts\, The Long Honeymoon is poised to take it to the next level\, with an album in the works and more gigs on the horizon.  \nThe Famous Volcanoes  For 20 years Famous Volcanoes has been spewing musical lava of full on rock\, rootsy Americana\, multi-layered pure pop and traditional bluegrass.  The Volcanoes proudly wear their influences on their ragged shirtsleeves putting a Midwestern spin on a Crazy Horse meets quirk pop sound.  With three full length recordings (and another on the way) this five piece Minneapolis band have performed on stages from regional dive bars to Hollywood hotspots to back yard BBQ’s.

VIAL brings their genre-bending cascade of sound into electrifying live performances. Songs that smack you in the face: Rage-written speed runs about running over misogynists (“Roadkill”) are followed by a head bopping\, cheek-blushing queer love songs to tingle your toes (“Violet”); VIAL is powerhouse who knows how to adapt their sound\, and themselves\, allowing them to grow in new ways during 2020’s days of quarantine by creating a wide audience on TikTok and other social media while revving up to release their blossoming debut album\, LOUDMOUTH (2021). This record was highly-anticipated after the success of their debut EP\, “Grow Up\,” which hit streaming sites soon after the group’s formation in 2019. \n \nFollowing the release of LOUDMOUTH\, VIAL has made an explosive return to live music\, playing historic venues across Minnesota\, including First Avenue’s iconic main stage\, and have hit many of their favorite cities while touring with artists such as THICK\, Skating Polly\, and Jhariah.
