Boston-based artist  Jeremy Moses Curtis is touring in support of his new release “Midlife Chrysler”and will kick off the night.\n \nErik Koskinen is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist\, whose music is not categorized by sub-genres. Stylistically he is on his own. Influenced by roots music of the Americas and the world\, the rhythmic integrity and musical tone are as important as the lyrical content and the artistic intent. \nSprouted from a blend of American folk\, country\, rock-n-roll\, and blues\, Erik Koskinen  and his top-shelf band realize a sound that is distinctive and fresh while familiar and classic. Cindy’s celebrating her second release on Boston’s Rum Bar Records with a major blowout extravaganza featuring the snarly punk bops of the Spit Takes\, the in-your-face exuberance of Surly Grrly\, and Cindy’s fierce rock action\, all served up by the former Miss Twin Cities Pride and current diva-licious emcee Gosh Alice Jones! —–Cindy Lawson began her rock and roll career in Minneapolis in 1985 with her all-female rock band\, The Clams. Over the years\, she has played in several bands in Minneapolis and New York City\, but then took a break starting in the late 90’s. She returned in full force with a new band in 2021 and in 2022 released “New Tricks”\, her first full length record in 25 years on Boston’s Rum Bar Records. New Tricks got airplay both nationally (on Little Steven’s Underground Garage and on Little Steven’s Coolest Songs in the World) and internationally\, garnering rave reviews in publications across the globe. In April of 2023\, she released a new single and video called “Don’t Come Crying To Me” that was immediately picked for Little Steven’s Coolest Songs in the World and is currently in rotation on Sirius XM. The band’s overall approach has been aptly described as “…big riffs and thunderous drumming paired with mosh-pit friendly hooks and choruses…hilarious and defiantly crude\, feminist…delivered with a zero f*cks given aplomb…”  \nSurly Grrly is a MPLS-based queercore protest band that likes to have fun while loudly fucking the patriarchy. Their live shows are filled with rage\, passion\, and politically-driven lyrics addressing bigotry\, queerness\, and misogyny. With a satisfyingly raw 80’s garage punk sound\, Surly Grrly uses catchy hooks and tempo changes to rile up a crowd\, mixing originals with a variety of classic punk rock covers. The band’s current members are vocalist/guitarist Medbh McNamara\, guitarist/vocalist Eloïse Boigenzahn\, bassist Lou Levy & drummer Peter Korhonen.

First Nations Kitchen will be on-site accepting donations! \nAnnie Humphrey \nGrowing up on the Leech Lake Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota\, Annie lived in a home filled with voices made of thunder and nothing could stop it. Her parents were brilliant people individually. Her father\, a singer and musician and her mother an artist and poet. Together they made sadness. Each of her parents taught Annie the beautiful things they knew. They showed her that she carried their gifts in her hands too. This is how creating art and music came about for her. This is what saved her. This is how she lives now. \nDavid Huckfelt  \nDavid Huckfelt is a singer/ lyricist /activist and founding frontman of Minneapolis indie-folk cult favorites The Pines. An Iowa native and former theology student\, Huckfelt attended the Iowa Writers Workshop before turning his attention to songwriting and performing. With improvisational mastery\, Huckfelt’s shows and songs of no-spiritual-surrender have earned him a devoted following from small-town opera houses & theaters to national festival stages like Hardly Strictly Bluegrass\, Edmonton and Calgary Folk Fests\, and the legendary First Avenue mainroom\, sharing stages with Mavis Staples\, Emmylou Harris\, Bon Iver\, Calexico\, Trampled By Turtles & more. An early encounter and collaboration with radical Native American poet John Trudell introduced Huckfelt as friend & partner to an array of Indigenous artists & activists including Winona LaDuke\, Louise Erdrich\, & Keith Secola\, working for climate justice and tribal sovereignty under the banner of music + resistance. In 2011\, he joined the ranks of Jimmy Hendrix\, Hank Williams\, Crystal Gale\, and Richie Valens\, and was inducted into the Native Music Hall of Fame. \nJeremy Ylvisaker \nAn independent songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist\, producer\, and teacher living in south Minneapolis. He is one of the stars in a constellation of local musicians and artists that partner with each other in a variety of music projects including Andrew Bird\, Dosh\, Guitar Party\, The Cloak Ox\, Gramma’s Boyfriend\, and Alpha Consumer. \nWhat is First Nations Kitchen? \nUniquely\, First Nations Kitchen is a ministry led by indigenous people for indigenous people. FNK’s Ministry Team leads all aspects of the program on a volunteer-basis without compensation\, though there are specific and agreed-upon roles and responsibilities for team members such as Program/Kitchen Director\, Volunteer Coordinator and Fundraiser. In addition FNK enjoys volunteer support from 13 area Episcopal congregations\, the Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) of William Mitchell\, and multiple churches of various denominations. The engagement of the partner congregations has evolved as a model for the Episcopal Church in Minnesota which in recent years has collectively discerned a call to engage opportunities for mission in regional settings\, combining efforts\, gifts\, and resources across congregational lines. \nFirst Nations Kitchen is primarily a justice-focused\, Gospel-based ministry. Its primary intent is to provide food to indigenous people who would not otherwise have access to high-quality\, fresh organic food in an environment of radical hospitality and cultural empowerment. While FNK makes full use of its relationship with the Twin Cities Coop Partners (free organic vegetables\, fruits\, and dairy) we desire to deepen its ministry by engaging its guests and volunteers in the production of its own food. It is hoped that the garden will serve as a neighborhood gathering place\, a chance to build deeper relationships with guests and volunteers\, provide an opportunity for traditional harvest ceremonies\, and bring indigenous people together to learn ancestral methods of growing their own food. \nThe FNK Ministry Team also wants to deepen and widen its program by investing in its relationships with guests and volunteers. The kitchen provides a unique opportunity to come together around common interests (mission\, Gospel faithfulness\, addressing real human need) across cultural differences that in other circumstances divide rather than unite. The team sees transformative potential in deepening their relationship with their parish partners and guests – providing opportunities to know one another better\, regularly engage the practice of Gospel-Based Discipleship\, and together confront and move beyond racism. There are countless opportunities to more deeply involve parish partners and guests beyond tasks associated with making a meal\, such as building relationships with new volunteers\, fundraising\, tilling soil\, tending the compost pile\, distributing food city-wide. We want to move from simple task-allocation to a deep\, real invitation to work together – ministry team\, parish partners\, guests — in all aspects of our mission work. We see the potential result of this harder relationship-building work and the bringing together of a more diverse collection of gifts and talents as nothing less than transformational to us all.

Rare DM is Hoagg at her most vulnerable and visceral\, as she mines dates\, breakups and other adventures to make revealing\, romantic darkwave dance-pop music. With a collection of vintage analog synths\, Hoagg transforms the mundane into the magical\, transposing real DMs she’s sent and received into songs that reflect on the fractured nature of modern communication and online dating. Rabeca is Alex (keys and vocals)\, Anna (sax and vocals)\, Colleen (guitar and vocals)\, David (bass)\, and Satchel (drums).\n \nGoon Tribune\nGoon Tribune is a hip-hop\, G-Funk\, and electronic jazz band led by artist Ian McCarthy and bassist Nick Benish\, combined with a tight group of musicians: Andrew Tomten (Purple Funk Metropolis\, Tabah\, Wry Samurai) on Saxophone\, Tarek Abdelqader (Purple Funk Metropolis and A.P. Hairball is a Rock & Roll experience you won’t soon forget. The lights\, sound\, smoke\, fire\, bombs\, and screaming hoards of avid fans…to merely call it a concert would be like calling Mount Rushmore a roadside attraction! \n \nVocalists Joe\, Kris and Bobby lead the band through a 2+ hour\, mind-blowing\, and dropdead accurate homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world. Van Halen\, KISS\, Motley Crue\, Queen\, Journey\, and Aerosmith are but a few of the acts fans will see brought to life. The Hairball stage becomes an entirely new rock concert before your very eyes countless times throughout the night. The motor that drives the Hairball dragster consists of HBK on the electric bass\, Billy on the drums\, and Happy on the lead guitar. These Rock & Roll soldiers pride themselves on nailing some of the most memorable licks and chops of all time\, while adding their own style and flare that they’ve cultivated over decades of tireless performing. This isn’t a side job. These guys eat\, sleep and breathe Rock & Roll!\n \nConstantly adding more characters\, more pyrotechnics\, more lights\, more sound\, more props\, more surprises…more everything! While Happy often tells the audience “Today is the first day is the rest of your life!” Hairball performs every show as though it could be their last. Every night is a 100% full-on\, no-holds-barred\, exciting\, chaotic\, fiery party that has to be experienced to be believed!
