Koskinen’s albums are a lyrical and musical metaphor of America’s theaters of war\, history\, relationships\, and reflections in the mirror. “Burning The Deal” was produced by Koskinen and Bernie Larsen (Melissa Etheridge\, Jackson Browne) and recorded by Jason Mariani (Mumford & Sons\, Kenny Loggins) at Brotheryn Studios in Ojai\, California.\nKnowing\, but not didactic\, Koskinen channels the ways of Whitman and reverently enters the anthology of uniquely crafted wry songs with the likes of Woody Guthrie and Ry Cooder while speaking as plainly as your neighbor. The Minneapolis Star Tribune calls Koskinen “the real deal” and “the best country songwriter in Minnesota.”\nAmy LaVere & Will Sexton\, who are married to each other\, are both masters in multiple areas. LaVere\, who is from Memphis\, is a film actress\, an upright bass player and a vocalist who has done time both in punk bands and in Nashville’s country/roots scene. Austin native Sexton had a major label contract with his alternative rock band Will and the Kill in late ’80s when he was still a teenager\, and went on to become a respected songwriter\, guitarist and producer who worked with artists like Joe Ely\, Doyle Bramhall II\, Roky Erickson and Waylon Jennings.\n \nMilwaukee singer-songwriter Kat Wodtke leads Andrew Koenig and Nick Lang (Ryan Necci & the Buffalo Gospel)\, along with Samual Odin (Horseshoes & Hand Grenades)\, on a haunting journey of wide-open spaces and tight spots\, each song blistering with heart and grit.  Poor Pretender\, Long Mama’s debut LP was engineered by Erik Koskinen and recorded live over a long\, snowy weekend in small-town Minnesota.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n

With fresh wounds and a vast new space to fill in their lives\, the veterans plunged into the spiritually\, physically and emotionally healing pursuit of music\, practicing relentlessly and forming a lasting brotherhood in the process. \nBefore long\, they caught the ear of rock legend and activist Roger Waters (Pink Floyd)\, whose visit to the hospital immediately inspired an invitation to perform alongside him at Madison Square Garden during “Stand Up For Heroes\,” a benefit concert for injured veterans. It was during these rehearsals that they first jammed with recently discharged drummer Juan “Dom” Dominguez- a decorated Marine and triple amputee whom Roger had also brought on board – and in sharing the experience they realized that forming their own group was inevitable. Completing the lineup is Nate’s brother Erik on bass\, and with several of its members literally given a second chance at life the band forged a clear and compelling mission – to present fearlessness through songwriting and honest musicianship. \nSince then The Resilient have independently released original tracks and performed in concerts all over the U.S.\, gaining traction as a unique\, unforgettable act by stunning audiences at conventions\, galas\, dive bars\, universities\, and music festivals. They were featured by D’Angelico Guitars at the 2020 NAMM convention and headlined the 2021 Sag Harbor Music Fest\, where they had the honor of being proudly introduced by their mentor Roger himself. During the COVID lockdowns\, they adapted to the new normal by finding fresh opportunities working on veteran-supporting campaigns. Members of the band have performed with musical greats Yo-Yo Ma\,  Sheryl Crow\, Aaron Neville\, G.E. Smith\, Ricky Scaggs\, the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra\, Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins)\, Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine)\, and appeared on television shows “N.C.I.S.”\, “The Colbert Report”\, and “Lucky Dog”. Currently they are in pre-production for their first full length album and are the subjects of a feature length documentary currently in the works with award-winning filmmakers North Productions. \nThe Resilient’s rare combination of artistic freedom and military discipline amplifies their message of hope and perseverance. Dan Murphy\, who was pivotal in the launch of two seminal rock bands: Soul Asylum and Golden Smog\, sold his guitars and amps and quit the game in 2012\, in a letter published by Rolling Stone. A chance meeting at a Christmas  Party with Yacht-Rocker and producer Jeff Arundel\, led to the duo\, whose careers spanned the same time frame but had essentially no other resemblance\, to start writing and recording.\n\nTwo Harbors have released Four full-length albums of impressively cranked-up guitar-driven rock anthems. That’s right\, they have a traditional bluegrass lineup and play all of your favorite butt-rock hits from the 1980’s. Beneath their big hair\, bitching clothes\, and bad attitudes lies a group of rippin’ flat pickers who are never afraid to take it to the next level. Their high-energy compositions are performed with just the right amount of Minnesota twang\, creating a genre all-their-own called “Ass Grass.” The Burbillies have taken the greatest hits of the 1980’s and transformed them into hard hitting bluegrass compositions.  \nFormed in 2015 in the dead center of the thriving Midwest roots music scene in Stevens Point\, WI\, the four members of Dig Deep drew inspiration from their shared appreciation for traditional bluegrass and country music\, their love of rock and roll\, and their combined decades of hard gigging in the punk/metal scenes\, local bars and roadhouses\, and regional festivals. Three releases and 600+ shows later\, they have firmly established themselves as an utterly unique and powerful force in the roots world. With a body of work that showcases their vision\, craft\, heart\, and clout as songwriters and instrumentalists\, Dig Deep has earned a reputation for their well-honed and hard-edged sound that goes far beyond bluegrass\, as well as their blistering and boisterous live performances that give audiences much more than a string band show.
