He now boldly steps forward with a shining collection of new solo material for the first time under his own name called Red Tail. \n\nWhile Dead Man Winter’s Furnace was a much-needed cathartic experience for Simonett during a dark time\, he is not connecting these songs on Red Tail to his own life as he prefers to allow listeners to develop their own interpretations. The conversational and poetic style in which Simonett writes lends itself to this perfectly\, inspired by the spacious and stark Northern woods of Minnesota\, where he’s from. Since racing onto the scene a little over a decade ago\, with 4 full-length albums in a single year\, things have been relatively quiet with regards to new music. In 2016 the band released the twangy surf-rock anthemic collection radiate/dissolve and the following year\, a single featuring vocalist Linnea Mohn\, Taking Possession\, but after that has been mostly sporadic optimistic social media posts promising “Coming Soon.”  \n\nThe band members have all been busy with other music and creative projects; Linnea singing with other artists including Aby Wolf\, Jonatha Brooke\, and contributing to a musical with playwright Perrin Post. Her first punk band was called Frankie Horsesh*t\, and a decade later she founded the punk/new wave band Gramma’s Boyfriend\, which she is the front woman and main songwriter for. Haley has published short stories and poetry\, produced all of her 9 full length LPs\, and self-recorded\, produced\, and released 5 EPs. \n\nUntil 2017\, she released under the name Haley Bonar before choosing her maternal surname ‘McCallum’\, shifting her stage name to just ‘Haley’. Many of her songs can be heard in tv shows such as Orange is the New Black\, Transparent\, Arrow\, United States of Tara\, as well as commercials and film trailers. In 2013\, Haley was awarded the prestigious McKnight Fellowship for performing songwriters. She has toured across the United States\, Canada\, Europe\, and the UK. \n\nIn 2018\, Haley composed her first full length instrumental album\, Pleasureland\, and created 6 of the album’s 12 accompanying videos. Although she has been creating work for 18 years\, the fact that it feels like Haley is just beginning is possibly the most remarkable thing about her artistry. In 1996 he traded a combination oil/wood stove to his uncle for his first electric guitar and amp. Since then he’s been involved in many projects\, including a band he started with his brother in 2001 called The Mojo Spleens. In April 2008\, while self-employed as a contractor\, he started practicing as a one-man band and was playing shows two months later. Larson self-produced and released two EPs and one album during the next three years. In 2010 Crankshaft decided to hang up his hammer so he could focus on writing and performing music. Since then he’s been earning a living playing\, as both a traditional one-man band and as the leader of his band.
