\nwith guest Hell County Truckers\n\nDavid and Howard Bellamy\, collectively known as The Bellamy Brothers\, are multi-award winning recording artists and performers spanning genres from pop and blues to gospel. They have collaborated with artists including Freddy Fender\, Alan Jackson\, Jimmy Buffett\, and Dolly Parton.\n \nThey arrived on the national music scene in 1974\, when fellow Florida Artists Hall of Fame member Jim Stafford recorded and co-wrote “Spiders and Snakes” with David Bellamy. “Spiders and Snakes” hit number three on the Billboard charts\, and The Bellamy Brothers signed with Curb records in 1976. Later that same year\, “Let Your Love Flow” hit number one in the United States pop charts as well as in more than a dozen countries.\n \nThey soon moved towards the country music genre and “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It against Me” became the first of twenty number one hit country singles in the years to follow\, along with more than fifty hits overall on the charts. Their international releases include more than 95 albums.\n \nPerhaps the first of the now-common Country Duo genre acts\, The Bellamy Brothers received Grammy nominations for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Country and Western Song in 1980. For one\, Teleport 004 will feature ambient and downtempo music. I have long thought that a showcase of psybient and psy chillout music would be very worthwhile. There is so much variety within this heading and so much good music that only people in psytrance world seem to know about. The music programming has departed slightly from this initial picture\, all in good ways. The entire evening will feature live performance. The artists—Kitten Candy\, Squig\, and Ancient Fruit—are all dedicated\, multitalented\, experimental artists who will bring a variety and progression that is ideal for this emerging concept. \nThe event will be in Zen Arcade at the Hook and Ladder Theater\, which is also new for Teleport. The arrangement and deco plan are being worked out (as I am still pretty unfamiliar with that space)\, as is the visual programming by Kid Cuisine (who created the beautifully tailored flyer image for this unique installment). The aim is to make the Zen Arcade feel like a chill space at a music festival—relaxing\, cozy\, and wildly engaging. \n— \nBOX-OFFICE Tickets Are Available in The Zen Arcade During Hours of Operation.
