Get your tickets and don’t forget your dancing shoes!—Igor Yuzov was born in Germany\, raised in Ukraine and studied in Russia. He grew up in the former Soviet Union\, where folk music was the norm and rock’n’roll was illegal. A rebellious streak\, led him to seek out the forbidden music. As soon as it became possible\, Igor left Russia for America with his “Folk’n’Roll” band Limpopo\, and was personally greeted by Ronald Reagan. In 1993\, Limpopo won Ed McMahon’s Star Search and their popularity began to blossom. In 1995\, Igor dreamed that Elvis Presley came to him and told him to start playing rock’n’roll. Igor and his Russian friends became Red Elvises and gave street performances on Santa Monica’s 3rd Street Promenade. As their crowds grew larger\, the City of Santa Monica ordered them to discontinue their street performances. Evolving over the years\, Igor’s music has been labeled “Siberian Surf Rock” which contains humorous lyrics and grooves that forces his audience to dance. Over the past 20 years\, Red Elvises have constantly toured all over the world with occasional breaks to record new music and to participate in film and television projects. \n\n \nAs an independent band\, Red Elvises have produced 12 studio albums\, two live albums\, a live concert DVD\, and a Greatest Hits compilation. Some of their most notable film contributions include music and or performances in “Six String Samurai”\, “Mail Order Bride”\, “Armageddon”\, “Skippy”\,  “Melrose Place”\, “Fastlane”\, “Penn and Teller’s Sin City Extravaganza”\, “VH-1 Behind the Music”\, and “MTV”. Red Elvises have performed for large festivals\, private parties\, and played on massive stages such as 2005’s Live 8 Benefit Concert. No matter where they perform\, Igor & Red Elvises always bring the party with them.\n \nBlack Widows are a surf-punk-psyche band from Minneapolis\, Mn\, U.S. They serve up wild surf guitar\, slick bass grooves\, mean beats\, & riot grrrl vox. BW have toured overseas & nationally from Spain to NYC & LA playing bills and festivals w/ major acts like Bombino\, Dale Watson\, L.A. Witch\, The Trashmen\, Shonen Knife\, Olivia Jean\, The Coathangers\, Death Valley Girls\, Supersuckers\, Agent Orange\, The Surfaris\, Man or Astro-Man\, Messer Chups\, The Surfrajettes\, John Waters\, & more. BW’s ‘Swamp Rock City’ EP is out now on vinyl and they’re currently working on a full length album to be released this year. Follow BW at @blackwidowsrocks for 2025 tour dates and releases.\n\n

In the gospel church of her childhood\, she played saxophone and drums and found her singing voice and a passion for music. \n \nChastity’s been featured on NPR’s Favorite Sessions\, CMT\, American Songwriter\, the London Times\, Paste Magazine and others. Chastity has toured the U.S. and abroad\, appearing on the U.K.’s Later…with Jools Holland.\n \nLike so many artists who endured the uncertainty of the 2020 lockdown\, Chastity’s instinct was to turn inward\, at first out of self-preservation\, and then because the new songs kept coming and coming. Since finishing her last album\, 2017’s Silhouette Of Sirens\, she estimates she’s written nearly 100 new songs\, ten of which found their way onto her latest\, 2022’s Sing To The Walls.\n \nBetween writing sessions she’s been vibing to chilled-out\, forward-thinking artists like Leon Bridges\, H.E.R.\, SZA\, and Daniel Caesar\, taking their cue to expand beyond genre and her folk/roots history to encompass her appreciation of all Black American musical art forms. “I also want to poke at what the blues is\,” Chastity reflects. “It has a lot of stereotypes like it’s mostly only played by blue-eyed white guys now. But what about Bessie Smith and Ma Rainey? I feel so closely connected\, in a pure\, undeviating lineage\, to the heritage of being a Black\, queer blues woman. I want to share this music with them\, to say that I’ve listened\, and I’ve done something new.”\n—\n\nAnna Devine is a singer-songwriter based in the Twin Cities. You may have seen her singing with local indie groups Aiden Intro and Chutes. In 2024\, Anna moved to center stage to front her solo project\, playing sold-out rooms in the Twin Cities area.\nInspired by indie folk musicians such as Adrianne Lenker\, Slow Pulp and Alex G\, Anna released her debut EP\, “Seeing the Trees for the Leaves” in April 2025. \n \n“Her first solo release\, “Year’s End\,” captures the conflicting feelings of starting anew after the holiday fanfare. Devine’s gentle\, sensitive musical touch is reminiscent of alternative folk artists like Big Thief and Aldous Harding.” —Diane Miller\, The Current (MPR)\n \n“Anna Devine’s songs carry stories of heartache and fortitude across her new EP\, Seeing the Trees for the Leaves. With subtle and gentle delivery\, Devine knows how to sculpt atmosphere on the opening song “This Time.” The minimal sound design builds with swells of warm tones and gently strummed guitar\, evolving into a beautiful tune.” —Mpls.St.Paul Magazine\n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nThank you to our sponsors\, partners\, & neighbors: \n\nSummit Brewing • DuNord Social Spirits • RKR Ganja Beverages • Nobool Presents • KFAI 90.3FM • Mpls.St.Paul Magazine • The Zen Arcade • Longfellow Rising • Lake Street Council • Minnesota State Arts Board • Moon Palace Books • Arbeiter Brewing\n\n \nThe Award-Winning* Under the Canopy series at The Hook & Ladder Theater returns with its uniquely seasonal urban footprint to the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis in 2025. *Voted Best in MN 2021 by Star Tribune readers.\n \nThe Hook has committed to having a food truck Under the Canopy throughout the 2025 season for our guests. The Combo will be performing a FULL night of music from these two iconic funk artists. \nWorld renowned Dr. Mambo’s Combo has been performing weekly at Bunkers Music Bar & Grill since 1987 — one of the longest running weekly residencies anywhere in America. The band quickly became Prince’s favorite — playing soul\, rock\, and r&b music with unmatched passion and fire – and audiences have flocked to their weekly performances ever since. In addition to Prince\, many national touring artists often stop by to sit in with the band after their own show —including John Mayer\, Sheila E\, Questlove\, Stokley\, Larry Graham\, and Bonnie Raitt. \nDr. Mambo’s Combo’s ‘Let Me Have it All’ features a diverse collection of songs across the many eras and styles of these amazing trendsetting artists. Sly Stone rose to popularity with Woodstock era hits ‘Everyday People’ & ‘I Want to Take You Higher’\, and took a surprise turn in the early 70’s with the genre defining funk of ‘Family Affair’ and ‘If You Want Me to Stay’. \n\nRufus and Chaka Khan were one of the most popular and influential funk bands of the 1970s\, with four consecutive number-one R&B albums\, ten top 40 pop hits and five number-one R&B singles including ‘Tell Me Something Good’\, ‘Sweet Thing’ and ‘Ain’t Nobody’.\n \n\nThe current band lineup features Julius Collins and Margaret Cox on lead vocals\, Sonny Thompson on bass\, Brian Ziemniak on keys\, Geoff LeCrone on guitar and Peter Suttman on drums. Joining the band for this special performance are The Bangbang Horns (Peter Vircks & Riley Helgeson). \n\n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nThank you to our sponsors\, partners\, & neighbors: \n\nSummit Brewing • DuNord Social Spirits • RKR Ganja Beverages • Nobool Presents • KFAI 90.3FM • Mpls.St.Paul Magazine • The Zen Arcade • Longfellow Rising • Lake Street Council • Minnesota State Arts Board • Moon Palace Books • Arbeiter Brewing\n\n \nThe Award-Winning* Under the Canopy series at The Hook & Ladder Theater returns with its uniquely seasonal urban footprint to the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis in 2025. *Voted Best in MN 2021 by Star Tribune readers.\n \nThe Hook has committed to having a food truck Under the Canopy throughout the 2025 season for our guests. The Texas-born\, Nashville-based alt-rocker\, singer\, and multi-instrumentalist has tackled a slew of personal demons—many of which turned up on his catharsis-packed debut EP\, 2023’s Crying In The Shower—in order to come out on the other side\, stronger than ever. \n\n \nThe prolific artist’s latest batch of songs\, which he is constantly churning out as a therapeutic way to process daily life\, are upbeat\, hook-packed anthems that invite audiences to shout along in unison. \n\n \n“I think I’m at the end of writing about my problems\,” Coddington muses. “I’ve been putting myself through emotional music therapy for three years now\, and it’s working. I’m finally looking back and laughing for the first time. I consider it the upswing of the depression. I’m about to enter this whole new phase in my life. Everything feels new again for the first time.” \n\n \nEver since he first began releasing music in 2020\, Letdown. (real name Blake Coddington) has poured his soul into crafting soaring rock anthems that vulnerably chronicle his mental health journey and sonically intersect with punk/emo\, electronic\, and pop. \n\n \nPosting a series of unguarded videos to TikTok\, Letdown. has seen his following grow to more than 675K\, nearly 1M monthly listeners on Spotify\, and over 100K on Instagram—not even counting the 200M total streams his songs have earned. This growing popularity has led to extensive nationwide and European touring\, allowing Letdown. to connect with fans across the globe. \n\n \n“That’s the greatest part of this\,” Coddington says of his more buoyant direction. “We’re all dancing around the studio. It’s the most natural writing I’ve ever done…” \n\n \nThe song “Hate Myself”—his collaboration with producer Carlo—became his second Top 25 single at Alternative radio\, signaling his rising profile and the impact of his emotionally honest songwriting. \n\nHe continues to unpack tough emotions in tracks like:\n\n“Be Ok” (featuring LØLØ) – written near the end of a serious\, unhealthy relationship.\n“Dead Right” – a fun\, catchy tune created without overthinking.\n“Crying In The Shower” – a Top 20 hit detailing heartbreak\, fleeting highs\, and emotional numbness.\n“Go To Hell” – a defiant\, crowd-moving anthem about the painful complexity of leaving an abusive partner.\n“Young Broke (2025)” – a self-reflecting song about the reality of his life\, and his future\n\nIf anything unites Letdown.’s debut album\, it’s his ability to mix audible joy with emotional darkness\, creating cathartic\, uplifting music that turns hardship into healing. \n\n \n“The music I’m writing currently has been a lot more fun than it ever has been\, and a lot less depressing. This is what’s been handed to me—now I’m gonna have to make something awesome.”——YOUTHYEAR is the moniker of Eric Paquette\, a Nashville based artist\, songwriter\, and producer hailing from Western Massachusetts. YOUTHYEAR’s upcoming releases and sound are an alt-rock collection of post-party/post-relationship songs with elements of 90s nostalgia\, hip-hop\, nü-school pop-punk and also draws influence from the more melodic side of grunge. Themes of self-sabotage and struggling with sobriety are juxtapositioned with bright colorful melodies and are a reflection of Eric’s own experience with addiction and the darker corners of his recovery journey.

Inspired by Umphrey’s McGee\, Snarky Puppy\, Lettuce\, Phish and many others\, their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fusion\, prog rock\, jam rock and more\, all with the consistent underlying grooves of funk. Wurk has opened for acts including The Motet and Andy Frasco & the U.N. and helped pack venues across the Midwest. Described by Isthmus Magazine as “summer-jam-perfect” and two-time recipient of the Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Artist of the Year Award (2019\, 2022)\, Wurk fills the gap between complexity and groove\, impressing fans and keeping them dancing all night.Frank Laufenberg uses his electric guitar to provide funky rhythms and dense chord structure while filling the role of principal songwriter and vocalist. He leads the charge alongside Daniel Haschke (saxophones/flute) who hypes the crowds by leaping off of the stage and spreading his infectious joy to the dance floor. Max Morkri’s blend of solid grooving and intricate drum chops and Jory Carlin’s powerful bass lines glue the band together. Later that same year\, “Let Your Love Flow” hit number one in the United States pop charts as well as in more than a dozen countries.\n \nThey soon moved towards the country music genre and “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It against Me” became the first of twenty number one hit country singles in the years to follow\, along with more than fifty hits overall on the charts. DESCRIPTION:EVENT DETAILS \n\n RSVP ON FACEBOOK\n \n\n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nMedina Entertainment center \n\n\nDoors: 7:00PM | Music: 8:00PM | 21+\n\nReserved Seat $34 /General Admission $24 (plus applicable fees)\nTickets are $8 more the day of show (plus applicable fees)– All Concerts are 21+ (No Exceptions)– Must Present A Valid ID – Tickets Are Non-refundable\n\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n EVENT DESCRIPTION \n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nTHUNDERSTRUCK America’s AC/DC Tribute\nwith guest Sugar Buzz\n==========\n\nTHUNDERSTRUCK AMERICA’S AC/DC – Thunderstruck: America’s AC/DC Tribute gives fans so much more than the sound of AC/DC\, they truly capture the high voltage energy and experience!  For fans\, it’s about a sense of familiarity\, and it’s about a feeling that snatches up listeners and takes over.  It’s about a contagious kind of power and electricity that few AC/DC tribute bands can provide.  From Kyle LaPato’s strong on-stage performance replicating Angus Young\, to Bobby Lee Stamper’s versatile vocals mimicking both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson ranges. Then you have the incredible rhythm section made up of Kevin Feller on rhythm guitar\, Corey Baetz on drums\, and Chris Jones on bass. They provide the groove and the swing to keep you shakin’ all night long. “Thunderstruck” gives a complete\, and consistent quality live show every time\, and they always showcase “The Spirit of AC/DC”.\n \n\nNo one has more fun playing than Sugar Buzz! We play PARTY ROCK – that means stuff that makes you want to have fun and dance! We bring a high energy show and we simply love to play and have fun onstage. We play hits from the 70’s to today – our shows have something for everyone!—\nFor questions\, email us at medina@medinaentertainment.com or call us at 763-478-6661.Ticket price does not include a facility fee\, sales tax or service fees. All dates\, prices\, times and bands are subject to change.
