Burnside\, Kent Burnside blends Mississippi Hill Country\, Delta\, Chicago Blues\, and Blues-Rock into a style all his own. After early touring with Jimbo Mathus and opening for Buddy Guy\, Kent built a 20-year career fronting his own band. His new album\, Hill Country Blood\, produced by GRAMMY winner Boo Mitchell\, features eight originals plus covers of John Lee Hookerand Junior Kimbrough. Raw\, soulful\, and high-energy\, the record honors tradition while forging ahead.\n \nHill Country Blood debut\, carrying forward the legacy of his grandfather while carving out his own distinct voice in the blues world. His 2023 release Nasty Business reached Number 2 on the US Top 50 Contemporary Blues Charts and was the winner of a “Global Music  Silver” award for outstanding achievement. Mark’s 2021 release Back from the Edge reached the Top 4 on the International Blues Charts and won a global music award. \n \nPrevious releases include 2019’s On a Roll which reached Number 5 on the International Blues Charts and was the Number 1 album in Minnesota for 18 straight weeks.
