Useful Jenkins | Frogleg | Feed the Dog | High & Rising | New Salty Dog\n— \nMark your calendars for the Shamrock Shakedown on March 16th and 17th\, 2024\, hosted by Feed the Dog at the Uptown VFW. Immerse yourself in two days of psychedelic\, bluegrass\, and jam music in Minneapolis. —USEFUL JENKINS\nAn acoustic love band from earth.—FROGLEG7 Piece Twin Cities-Based Musical Powerhouse. Frogleg has been gracing the stages of Midwest venues\, clubs and beyond for over a decade. Their studio albums and live performances take the audience on a journey that explores different rhythms ranging from Rootsy Americana\, Funk\, Progressive Rock\, Latin & Reggae\, all while being interwoven with hard-hitting impactful lyrics.—\nFEED THE DOG\nFeed the Dog is an eclectic and action-packed\, experimental jam-grass act. The midwest based 4-piece masterfully blends soul-pleasing songwriting rich in imagery and storytelling with a genre bending\, shake-your-hips\, instrumental flair. Their high energy performances are driven by the unique and progressive approach of each player: imaginative melodies with graceful ambiance skillfully crafted on the violin\, tireless beats both dynamic and soulful confidently assembled on the drums\, driving low end with finesse and intention forged on the bass guitar\, and unique approach to playing the acoustic guitar blending fast picking bluegrass runs with the strength of blues and rock to evoke an emotional contrast between melancholy and hopeful.\nThe band started in July of 2015 and has been relentlessly playing festivals\, theaters\, and clubs alongside regional and national touring acts. “Ding Dang” the band’s third full length album released September 2021\, out now.—HIGH & RISINGOut of the northern midwest and the banks of the mighty Mississippi River grew this “Groovy Grass” band of music makers. High & Rising is a unique combination of instruments that bring a fresh groovy sound to the Bluegrass & Folk Americana scene.—NEW SALTY DOGTheir rhythms may be a little bossy. Their drummers commanded me to feel Saucy. Another Duluth band that can hold a groove. The Bass lines funk and the bootys move. Some songs tell stories and others tell moods. They sing about friends and they sing about foods. With Improvisations both jarring and dreamy\, one guitar clucks and the other ones creamy. Looking for a band to follow outta the fog? Well look no further than New Salty Dog.

SUMMARY:Flatfoot 56 / Koffin Kats with guests Supportive Parents\, & Loss Leader
DESCRIPTION:EVENT DETAILS \n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nThe Hook and Ladder Theater \n\nDoors 8:00pm :: Music 8:30pm \n\n21+ \n\nGENERAL ADMISSION $18 ADV / $22 DOS \n\n\n COVID-19 Policies\n \n\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n EVENT DESCRIPTION \n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nFlatfoot 56 / Koffin Kats\nwith guests Supportive Parents\, Loss Leader \n—- \nPlaying a positive-natured brand of hardcore-tinged Celtic punk\, Flatfoot 56 has been unleashing itself upon America and the rest of the world for over 20 years now. Forming in 2000\, the Chicago natives achieved nationwide attention with their first two label-backed records\, 2006’s Knuckles Up and 2007’s Jungle of the Midwest Sea. These releases built on a heavy dose of previously established regional notoriety\, helping the band gain steam early on.\n \n\nThe groundwork for what has become the relentlessly-touring sonic assault known as The Koffin Kats was laid near Detroit\, Michigan when Vic Victor (Lead Vocalist\, Upright Bass) joined forces with long-time friend Tommy Koffin (Guitar). After adding Damian Detroit (Drums) the band kicked off in June 2003\, stopping for nothing. Now\, with over ten years of touring internationally and over two thousand live shows\, the touring trio’s current home is out on the open road. \nSupportive Parents is a punk band formed by people in 2014. Those people played in other bands before Supportive Parents too though. Their music has been described as “Billy Joel screaming ’til he feels he’s going to barf.” By them. Supportive Parents wants your money. And they want it now. \nFounded in the cold-ass Minnesota winter of 2017\, Loss leader is the new project from three working-class dudes from Minneapolis\, MN; Tim Schumann (guitar/vocals)\, Andy Slater (drums)\, and Brandon Stein (bass). With deep roots in the Minneapolis and broader Midwest punk and indie scenes (former The Damn Choir\, Mpls Henrys\, Mad Dogs of Glory\, current The Jeffertons) Loss Leaders’ brand of earnest\, hard charging\, melodic midwest punk has earned them a dedicated and steadily growing fan base in Minneapolis and the region.

SUMMARY:Áit Ait\, Superior Siren\, & Anothernight
DESCRIPTION:EVENT DETAILS \n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nThe mission room at The Hook and Ladder Theater \n\nDoors 8:30pm :: Music 9:00pm \n21+\nGeneral Admission: $10 Advance / $15 Day of Show\n \n\n\n*Does not include feesNO REFUNDS \n\n COVID-19 Policies\n \n\n \n \n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n EVENT DESCRIPTION \n\n	\n \n\n	\n	\nÁit Ait\, Superior Siren\, & Anothernight\n\n\n \n\nÁit Ait (Irish for “strange place” or “uncanny valley”) are an experimental folk duo focused on reinterpretations of traditional songs – dark and deep\, bright and sparkling; full of noise and life. Based in Minnesota\, Áit Ait (pronounced “ahh-tch eye-tch”) is Aja McCullough (song) and Patrick Maun (sound). The two set out to explore the living tradition that is Irish folk music – ever evolving and always changing\, a solid footing set in the past but looking towards the future.\n \n\nS U P E R I O R  S I R E N  is an eerie folk project from Duluth\, Minnesota. The music is inspired by Lake Superior and Siren mythology\, and offers an alluring & dangerous expression of vulnerability & desire. Superior Siren continues to perform as a solo or full band act\, and is in production of the next full-length album.   \n\nAnothernight is a Minneapolis-based slowcore experimental folk project channeling both the beauty in and despair in love\, loss\, and longing. Utilizing minimalism in music and romanticism in lyric\, Anothernight explores human emotion from the wild to the mundane\, and the willingness to live in either.
