With all three band members sharing lead vocal and songwriting duties\, the Junkies conjure a wide range of tonal landscapes that pay tribute to the iconic sounds of Gillian Welch\, the Allman Brothers\, Tim O’Brien\, the Wood Brothers\, John Hiatt\, and countless others while breaking new musical ground with their genre-bending original material. Stillhouse Junkies are proud to be Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival showcase artists and 2020 & 2021 IBMA World of Bluegrass showcase artists. \nStillhouse Junkies – https://stillhousejunkies.com/\n\n2021 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year\n2023 Confirmed Festivals: MerleFest\, Pagosa Folk ‘n Bluegrass\, Blue Ox Music Festival\, ROMP Festival\, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival\, RockyGrass\, Suwannee Roots Reunion\n\n“Evergreen” live at The Station Inn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jup2pbzdsKg\n“Colorado Bound” (Studio Video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdV0mE3WNBQ\n======== \nHigh & Rising. Out of the north midwest and the banks of the mighty Mississippi River grew this “Groovy Grass” band of music makers. High & Rising most often plays as a quartet\, with a unique combination of instruments that bring a fresh groovy sound to the Bluegrass & Folk Americana scene. \nThe band\, led by Laura Farley (upright bass/vocals) and supported by Jym Farley (acoustic guitar)\, Ben Rohde (percussion) and Harrison Olk (Banjo) have quickly made a name for themselves through their prolific songwriting and performances along-side many notable musicians in the upper midwest music scene. \nHigh & Rising recently released their critically-acclaimed debut album HOWL\, featuring artists: Adam Greuel & Davey Lynch of Horseshoes & Hand Grenades; Chris Castino of The Big Wu; Ernest Brusubardis IV & Ryan Ogburn of Chicken Wire Empire; Augie Dougherty of Armchair Boogie; Craig Baumann of The People Brothers Band; Rick Krueuziger of The Pat Watters Band; Leo Albertoni of Old Soul Society; and Kenny Leiser of Joseph Huber.\nhttps://highandrising.net \n\nTheir energy and talent is beyond wonderful. Love these two and what they share with us. Try to see them as often as possible. Happiness right here.\n-Lisa Kasten
