At the heart of this organ trio is a blues sensibility – but Milwaukee native Koch’s compositions are an amalgam of rock\, funk\, jazz and country served up with heavy grooves and dynamic improvisations – delivered with no small dose of humor and occasional wild abandon.\n\nGreg Koch has forged a successful career as “a guitar player’s guitarist.” He’s a fiercely creative player with a whole trick bag of impressive techniques\, ranging from Albert Lee chicken-pickin’ to Albert King string-bending to all-out Hendrixian abandon..\n \n https://www.gregkoch.com\n \n“Greg Koch has been our go-to guy for a dozen years now. We’ve sent him all around the world as Fender’s top ambassador. \nBill Cummiskey\, V.P. Fender Musical Instruments\n \n“Greg Koch is one of those players with chops to spare…..It doesn’t get much better than this.” John Heidt\, Editor – Vintage Guitar Magazine\n \n“I believe Greg Koch is pound for pound the best guitar player in the world today. His\, tone\, feel and style are unrivaled in today’s guitar playing community. He is scary good. It was a true honor to do shows with him.” Joe Bonamassa\n \n \nJoe and Vicki Price\, one of the pre-eminent blues duos in the Midwest\, are both members of the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame and considered blues institutions. Joe’s also a member of the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and was a finalist in the International Blues Challenge. Their music has been described as a “righteous\, joyful\, foot-stomping jubilee.”\n \nRight from jump-street\, the electrifying sound of Joe Price hits you in all the places you live\, a one-man blues tornado who can pack\, command and wring-out a dance-floor with the authority of an eight-piece show band.  His own deep and varied bag of original music is so formidable that noted Grammy-award nominated singer/songwriter Greg Brown has long referred to Joe as “the Buddha.”\n\n\n \n—–\n\nCome hungry and enjoy dinner with the show! The Hook has committed to having an eclectic variety of food trucks rotating Under the Canopy throughout the 2022 season for our guests. Please feel free to tell us anyone you’d like to see serving food UTC this spring! \n—– \nThe Award-Winning* Under the Canopy series at The Hook & Ladder Theater returns with it’s uniquely seasonal urban footprint to the Longfellow neighborhood of south Minneapolis in 2022.*Voted Best in MN 2021 by Star Tribune readers. \n—– \n$2 OFF An Arbeiter Brewing Pint!Come enjoy a brew or two before or after any Under The Canopy Concert. Just show your purchased wristband and receive $2 off a pint!
