Minneapolis-born, producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, Mayyadda believes music is medicine and aims to use her music to encourage deep healing through feeling.
Her music transcends genre and expectation, offering listeners a space to be, to reflect, and to find peace. With a foundation of soulful vocals and vulnerable lyricism transmuting sonic, genre-bending experiments, her sound invites and evolves. Every note she sings carries intention, every lyric she writes serves as a gentle yet powerful reminder to pause, hold space for oneself, and move through the world with grace.
An active recording artist since 2015, she reminds us all that we can’t save people before we save ourselves with her viral hit “R.I.P Captain Save-A-Heaux”. Her newest drop, “Somebody Loves You” with its accompanying line dance serves as a powerful tool for community building and is a gentle reminder during a chaotic time that you are loved.
For more information about Mayyadda, check out mayyadda.com and join her mailing list.

The Stinging Nettles are a folk/rock gro up of women in the Twin Cities creating original music that reflects their experiences (and rage) with the world.
