Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Jef Cierniak has been travelling, living, and playing guitar around the world for over 30 years, and has been fortunate to have been influenced by countless rhythms and styles. This includes many years of Soca, Calypso, Latin Jazz, and Reggae throughout the Caribbean and Central America…….. Acid Jazz in Eastern Europe……. Blues, Jazz, and Hill Tribe music throughout South East Asia, and many other styles and places.

Things get better with time, and so has Minneapolis band Street Hassle. The group has been together for ten-plus years, but are just now releasing their debut album. How do they describe their sound? Rock, indie, garage? No need to categorize the band, but their new album Feeling Machine creates a sense of freedom.
