Southside Family Nurturing Center’s mission is to nurture children, build on family strengths, and find alternatives to violence. We advance health and education equity in South Minneapolis through a dual-generation and trauma-informed program combining therapeutic early childhood education, family support and intensive home visiting.

Mayyadda is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Minneapolis who aspires to use her music to make people slow down, find themselves in another perspective, and feel their way towards individual and collective healing. With an eclectic mix of neo-soul vocals, folksy guitar, pop-style piano with trap beats sprinkled in for flavor, she refers to her genre as, “BlackGirlMagic.”
