FarFarAway is a Twin Cities-based pop-punk/emo/rock band with a lineup featuring members and former members of Kids of Comets, Ekoflo, Smashdown, Fighting Tongs, The Payback, TCA, and My Kid Banana. Our music blends melodic guitars and vocals with a driving bass sound, taking listeners on a journey through pop culture nostalgia. Influenced by 90s and 2000s punk and emo, our sound resonates with fans of Thrice, NOFX, Face to Face, and Iron Maiden.

Kris Lohn & DJ Crenson have been writing & playing music together continuously since 2000, in almost any formal and informal situation you can think of: punk bands, orchestras, church band, ska club, singer-songwriter groups, school band, and of course their prog-punk band stop.drop.rewind. This has given them a unique perspective on writing both as a team and on music in general, plus insight into persevering and forging your own path in an unforgiving industry. They added Andy Sutton in 2015 to fully solidify their unique, energetic, and ever-evolving sound. Kris and Andy are not only the core rhythm section for ‘stop.drop.rewind’, but have backed up premier artists on hundreds of performances in the Chicagoland area and nationwide (Marbin, Slim Gambill of Lady A, Kofi Baker, Joe Marcinek and more). Hot off the release of their self-titled 4th record, the band is touring the West Coast and gearing up for their second trip to Canada – after a highly successful stint there in 2024.
