Wherever Purple Funk Metropolis goes, the party follows. Formed in the University of Minnesota’s jazz department and greater Minneapolis music scene, the seven-piece instrumental funk band has been crafting original tunes and electrifying audiences since 2017. Their latest album “PFM” is a funk odyssey– an expedition to a beautiful, groovey place. The lineup includes Tarek Abdelqader on drums, Alex Browne on trumpet, Sam Rosenstone on keys, Evan Slack on guitar, Alex Graves on another guitar, Andrew Tomten on saxophone, and Andy Schupp on bass.

Fuchsia, led by Aaron O’Connor, is a contemporary fusion band that presents all original compositions. Each member brings in a new musical background, allowing lots of genre crossing and intricate interpretations of each song.

Chroma is an electric-based jazz fusion trio that features saxophonist Jonah Walt, keyboard/synth bassist Zach Luginbill and drummer Fletcher Myhre. Using chromatic harmony and more, the group plays with a wide draw from the broad spectrum of colors that can be found in music.
