Brazilian Carnival with Choro Borealis
The Hook & Ladder is proud to host Choro Borealis for a celebration of Brazilian Carnival on Friday, February 18th. Featuring members of BEIRA MAR BRAZIL, including; Robert Everest, Tim OKeefe, Pat OKeefe, John Croarkin and Dave Burk, with Special Guests Patrick Harrison – Sanfona, Cesar Moran – Percussion, and Batucada do Norte – drum ensemble.
The Hook will also be serving caipirinha, the national drink from Brazil made with cachaca, sugar and lime. This event is for lovers of dance, samba, axe, forro, frevo, MPB and all things Brazil!
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
