Henry Cluney (ex-Stiff Little Fingers)
with Virgin Whores, & New Rocket Union
Henry Cluney is a former member of Stiff Little Fingers, the band which he formed in 1977 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He was a songwriting contributor for the group’s first four albums, taking over lead vocal duties on his own compositions. Post-SLF he toured briefly with the band Dark Lady supporting Jake Burns and the Big Wheel, notably at the Marquee Club in Wardour Street before returning to Belfast where he spent five years teaching guitar until Stiff Little Fingers reformed. Henry’s departure from the group in 1993 he later moved to Rochester, Minnesota in 1997..
Henry’s other bands included Highway Star, The Lobsters, Snoot Gibson, Three Days Later,and The Bobby E. Project. Today Henry is out touring the UK and Europe with his band XSLF Belfast. He is also out solo and still plays at most of the large punk festivals, especially Rebellion Blackpool UK.
