Formed in the University of Minnesota’s jazz department and greater Minneapolis music scene\, the seven-piece instrumental funk band has been crafting original tunes and electrifying audiences since 2017. Their latest album “PFM” is a funk odyssey– an expedition to a beautiful\, groovey place. The lineup includes Tarek Abdelqader on drums\, Alex Browne on trumpet\, Sam Rosenstone on keys\, Evan Slack on guitar\, Alex Graves on another guitar\, Andrew Tomten on saxophone\, and Andy Schupp on bass. \n— \nFuchsia\, led by Aaron O’Connor\, is a contemporary fusion band that presents all original compositions. Each member brings in a new musical background\, allowing lots of genre crossing and intricate interpretations of each song. \n— \nChroma is an electric-based jazz fusion trio that features saxophonist Jonah Walt\, keyboard/synth bassist Zach Luginbill and drummer Fletcher Myhre.  Using chromatic harmony and more\, the group plays with a wide draw from the broad spectrum of colors that can be found in music. \n\n

Known for their potent and spirited live shows\, the band has many moods\, mostly of the rock variety. They genre hop from dreamy folkpop to swampy psychedelic grooves to a grunge meets late sixties vibe\, crafting musical gems that value energy\, animal intelligence\, poetry\, and mischief. Their collective musical DNA includes REM\, Nirvana\, PJ Harvey\, Joni Mitchell\, Led Zeppelin\, Neil Young\, and Big Star. The band is like a small roving gang of friends\, who often develop new material while on writing retreats\, tours\, and band slumber parties. Adventure is a value of theirs\, and they treat every gig as one.  \n— \nThe Parkinson’s Foundation Minnesota and Dakota‘s Chapter is pleased to announce their first music fundraiser to support the Parkinson’s Foundation.
